Recreational Gymnastics

Recreational Levels Gymnastics
This is where the real fun begins with exploring more of what gymnastics has to offer. Gymnastics, like physical fitness and good health is a yearly program. Skills and Motor developments are taught in AGDA's fundamentally sound, logical, progressive classes.
We recommend consistent participation for the full benefits of the sport. AGDA's terms follow from one to the next with no stops. This helps to maintain a gymnasts' strength and flexibility allowing for continued and productive advancement throughout the year.
WAG & MAG classes are available. Please see AGDA's Timetable for class times.

Girls Recreational Gymnastics (WAG Programs)
WAG means "Womens Artistic Gymnastics". The WAG Program allows gymnasts to learn skills following the National Levels Program founded by Gymnastics Australia. These gymnasts have the opportunity to take part in small competitions at AGDA if they choose to. The WAG classes are all girls classes and allow the chance to advance to Competition Levels.
Boys Recreational Gymnastics (MAG Programs)
MAG means "Mens Artistic Gymnastics". This program also follows the National Levels Program founded by Gymnastics Australia and gives boys a chance to advance to Competition Level.
The mastery of basic skills leads to increased development and advancement through the National Levels Programs; the same used in AGDAs' Competitive Stars Programs. There is no expectation for Recreational Gymnasts to attend competitions; however, they will be invited to and if they so choose to attend the gymnasts are welcome.

How to join an AGDA Recreational Program
Please contact AGDA's friendly Customer Service Team and they will assist you in finding the most age appropriate class and skill based class. AGDA Staff will look at every new inquiry and advise on the best program to give you the best advice. A trial can be organised so your child can ‘taste’ an AGDA Program to experience the benefits.
Come in and speak with one of the AGDA Team Members or book your trial via the Contact Us link.
You can also attend an Open Day! When attending an open day AGDA staff will be able to make a quick assessment as to which program will be most suitable for your child. Open days are held throughout the year. Check this website for regular updates.
